The hotel was built in 1710 and is the original marriage house in Gretna Green. Now part of Oyster Hotel Group we are upgrading the hotel, but still retaining its great charm and character. Our bar and lounge and bedrooms have seen a refurbishment during 2012 and 2013 and now offers you the quality comfort you expect whilst travelling.Situated in the heart of Gretna Green, only 1 mile from the M6M74 the hotel is the ideal base to explore South West Scotland and the Lake District. We cater from sole travellers, couples to groups; so whatever your requirement we will do our utmost to ensure you have a relaxing and pleasant stay. The hotel offers a modern and contemporary style in each of the 100 en-suite bedrooms, with tea and coffee making facilities, Flat Screen Freeview TV, direct dial telephone, hairdryer and wireless internet is available throughout the hotel.The hotel has a relaxing barlounge offering a superb menu from light bites to main meals and not forgetting our daily specials. However, if you are looking for something a little more special; then look no further than our Anvil Restaurant. Directions

Heading North on the M6M74- 44, exit off junction 45 for GretnaGretna Green. At the T Junction take a left onto the B7076 (Sign posted Gretna Green) then go straight over the mini roundabout at Gretna Gateway Outlet Village. Go straight over the traffic lights then turn right at the War Memorial.Heading South on the M74- Past Gretna Service area (Welcome Break) branch left then take the 1st exit on the roundabout signposted Gretna Green. Turn left onto the B7076 at the T Junction. The hotel is situated approximately 200 yards on the right hand side.
